With Christmas just around the corner, it is not surprising to see people crowding the malls and checking out items online to buy the perfect gifts for their loved ones. Indeed, ‘tis the time of the year when people feel most alive, generous, and rich due to Christmas bonuses, 13th-month pays, and cash gifts from godparents and relatives. As enticing as this left-and-right shopping may sound, we must keep in mind that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, and we must ensure that our financial situation is not caught off guard in the coming year.

The 80 Percent

Fitz Villafuerte, a Registered Financial Planner, hosts this finance podcast in which he claims that his profession is comparable to that of a doctor. He explains that just as a patient consults a doctor when experiencing a health dilemma, a person with financial issues should also seek advice from a professional financial planner like him. The show’s title was inspired by American radio personality Dave Ramsey’s statement emphasizing that “Personal finance is 80% behavior and 20% knowledge.”

The podcast aims to influence a person’s proper behavior and mindset in becoming financially wealthy and successful. He utilizes money stories, efficient financial habits, entrepreneurship lessons, productivity tips, and practical investing strategies in engaging with his listeners. Overall, the 80 Percent podcast caters to people ready to step up their game to become financially independent. The question is, are you one of them?
