Vanessa Bohol, the person behind Tiny Crafty Hands, began working with polymer clay as a hobby around December 2019. Identifying herself as a kikay, Vanessa loved making stuff from scratch using various mediums. She has tried making brooch pins, fridge magnets, and cute cup sleeves from felt cloth and created an Instagram account for her crafts. When asked about the origin behind their brand name, Vanessa says:
“I’m not that creative in giving names, [and] because I have tiny hands, thus, Tiny Crafty Hands.”
Upon trying out polymer clay, Vanessa instantly fell in love with it because of its versatility. Throughout practicing making polymer clay earrings, she was encouraged by her family and officemates to sell them, thus the birth of a new item by Tiny Crafty Hands.
From color mixing, designing, baking, sanding, assembling up to the packaging, Vanessa does all with her tiny crafty hands. When asked where she gets her inspiration for her designs, Vanessa says she literally gets it from the things around her, even the most random ones, like her son's toys. Vanessa claims that she reaches for any material in her environment and sees what she can make out of it.
